Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 11th national conference on Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and the 7th international conference on the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL) in Mongolia will take place at the Foreign Language School of the Mongolian National University of Education, on October 13-15.
The conferences will be co-organized by the English Language Teacher’s Association of Mongolia (ELTAM), the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE), the English-German Language Teaching Methodology Department of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Embassy of Canada and the US Embassy in Mongolia.
More than 350 representatives from the USA, Japan, Australia and Taiwan are expected to attend the conference. Over 90 reporters will present their research works and conduct training.
B.Bolormaa, Head of the English-German Language Teaching Methodology Department, emphasized that the upcoming conference is coincided with the 20th anniversary of the ELTAM’s establishment.
Last year, the conference was held under the theme ‘Creating Opportunities Beyond our Beliefs’ with participation of over 300 teachers and students, who delivered 56 speeches on English language teaching methodology.
