Mongolian painters in quest of artwork inspiration

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The above is the name of an exhibition of six Mongolian painters, opening at Caravan Art Gallery, located 30 meters north of Zanabazar museum, on August 10. For five days, the exhibition will display unique artworks expressing the closeness of histories of the Central Asian countries and Mongolia.

The painters – Kh.Sodnomtseren, B.Baasansuren, D.Bulgantuya, M.Gan-Ochir, B.Monkhbaatar and B.Myagmarlkham- represented Mongolia at an international fine art exhibition, held in Kyrgyzstan last June, co-hosted by Caravan Art Gallery.

Caravan Art Gallery’s objective is to promote fresh artworks that combine and harmonize the traditional heritages of Mongolia and Central Asia with modern styles. The art gallery often hosts and initiates non-profit project and exhibitions for supporting young artists and designers. Also, the gallery sells handcrafts and household under its brand name Dashima.

In addition, the exhibition is to be followed by a screening of "Dessert of Forbidden Art" documentary film at the Green Zone Cafe.
