“Khubilai Setsen Khaan-800” exhibition opens at Mongolian National History Museum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian National Museum of History is displaying some 300 extraordinary archaeological findings and exhibits, dating back to the Yuan Empire era, in regard to the celebration of 800th birth anniversary of Khubilai Setsen Khaan (Khubilai, the wise king). The exhibition will last until October 20.

Unique archaeological findings, discovered by the latest excavations at Middle Age royalties’ tombs, connected to the Yuan Empire, which has been founded by Khubilai Khaan, are being displayed.

For instance, some newly found cultural monuments are at the exhibition, including findings from Mongol tombs of Tavan Tolgoi, located in Ongon soum, and from tombs in Uulbayan soum of Sukhbaatar aimag.
