Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat participated in the 3rd meeting of the United Nations Environmental Assembly (UNEA) which was held on December 4-6 in Nairobi, Kenya.
On the sidelines of the meeting Minister N.Tserenbat held several meetings with Erik Solheim, Executive Director of the UN Environmental Program (UNEP), WHO delegator Helena Valdés, Head of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Secretariat and Environmental Ministries and Vice Ministries of the UN member states and authorities of international organizations. They exchanged views on intensifying bilateral cooperation and agreed to collaborate.
Specifically, Mongolia will collaborate with CCAC to tackle air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city, having professional consultants. Minister N.Tserenbat also attended at official launching of international initiative ‘Cleaner air-Healthier Life’ that Mongolia joined last September.
During the third meeting the parties agreed that Governments of the UN member states to resolve issue of attracting sustainable and green funding based on public and private partnership.
