Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and the Netherlands hold third consultative meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The third political consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Netherlands was held on November 10 in Hague city, the Netherlands.
 
The consultative meeting was co-chaired by D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Peter Potman, Director of Asia and Oceania Department of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
At the meeting the parties introduced current political and economic state in the countries and they exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and other regional and international matters. The 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Netherlands is being marked in 2017.

The sides discussed on intensifying bilateral economic ties, increasing trade and investment, broadening cooperation in agriculture, water resource management, climate change and tourism fields and cooperating in frames of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and implementing joint projects within the scope of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, established with the European Union.   
 
Representatives of the Netherlands noted the importance of introducing foreign investment environment of Mongolia and its possibilities to businessmen of the Netherlands and attract their interest in order to enhance bilateral trade and investment. Moreover the sides emphasized significance of holding constant political talks  and they agreed to organize the 4th consultative meeting in 2018 in Ulaanbaatar. The Netherlands side pledged to study possibilities to establish ties between businessmen ot the two countries, taking business representatives to the consultative meeting next year.
