Mongolia to cooperate with France in agriculture sector

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A consultative meeting between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and France was held on January 12, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.

As a result of the meeting, French delegations stated that it will work  to increase investment in Mongolia in two ways, backing French entities, running operation in Mongolia and focusing attention to render support to Mongolia through the European Union Delegation.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren emphasized the parties reviewed bilateral relations of the two countries in all fields such as infrastructure, energy, mining, culture and education at tthe consultative meeting. "It became possible that more Mongolian students to get  scholarships especially in nuclear energy, agriculture and energy sectors. Moreover, the sides discussed about further projects and programs, including to provide the National Library of France with copied documents and materials of Mongolian  ancient history and to jointly organize movie festivals," he said.  The French side invited Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia to visit France this year. 

Director of Asia Pacific Department of Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France said "France leads the world in agricultural sector and the sector is one of the priority sectors of Mongolia as well. Therefore, the parties will cooperate to broaden cooperation in agriculture sector and to increase animal productivity.
