President of Mongolian Olympic Committee meets with his Japanese counterpart

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chef de Mission of Mongolia for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games and Member of Parliament B.Bat-Erdene and President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) D.Zagdsuren held an official meeting with the representatives of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC),informed by the MNOC on February 20.

President of the JOC and member of the International Olympic Committee Tsunekazu Takeda and member of JOC Executive Board Keisuke Muratsu received the Mongolian representatives.

At the meeting, Chef de Mission of Mongolia for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games B.Bat-Erdene expressed satisfaction that Mongolia has been maintaining long-lasting friendly relations with Japan and cooperating in social spheres apart from sports. He also reminisced and talked about having a joint training with Japan and learning from them when he was heading the Mongolian Judo Federation.

Afterwards, President of the MNOC D.Zagdsuren congratulated the Japanese team on winning the first gold medal from the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Then the sides exchanged views on the ongoing program titled ‘Sport For Tomorrow, Jenesys’, launched in the scope of the memorandum of understanding.

In return, President of the JOC Tsunekazu Taketa congratulated the Mongolian National Team and expressed readiness to support the Mongolian National Team in all possible ways in the frame of the preparation work for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
