Public health specialists being trained in Singapore

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A project to train public health specialists of Mongolia is being carried out by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with Nanyang Polytechnic of Singapore through 2017 and 2018.

In the frames of the project, a total of 140 public health specialists are participating in all level trainings such as leadership, manager and specialisls from one to three weeks. The training is being conducted under the program developed by Nanyang Polytechnic. So far, a total of 120 specialists and managers have participated in the trainings, of which 100 in 2017 and 20 in 2018.

On March 16, Minister of Health D.Sarangerel received the specialists to be sent to Singapore.  She said that the aim of the project is to create sustainable and high quality health policy, practices, human resource and structural administration through improving knowledge, skills and capabilities of specialists in public health.  Moreover, it is expected that management and structure of the public health centers will be improved leading to  good public health care and services.
