Mongolia to cooperate with Vietnam in emergency sector

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The deputy director of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) of Mongolia, colonel Ts.Ganzorig attended the ‘Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Asia-Pacific agriculture sector: Improving the disaster-resistant food and agriculture system’ regional conference organized on March 15-16 in Hanoi, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
 
During the conference colonel Ts.Ganzorig met with  Vietnamese counterparts led by Trung Choang Hai, deputy director of the Disaster Management Center of Vietnam and agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation  between the NEMA and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam to boost cooperation, exchange best experiences in disaster management sector, strengthen capabilities of emergency agency officials and to provide technical assistance to relevant laws, regulations, policy and practices.
 
The parties agreed to sign the memorandum at the ‘Asian Ministers’ conference on Disaster Risk Reduction’ to be organized in Ulaanbaatar on July 16-19.
