Mongolia and Laos to improve inter-parliamentary cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 18, head of the Mongolia-Laos group in the Parliament, MP Yo.Baatarbileg received Laotian delegates led by Lao Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, member of the National Assembly of Laos, deputy director of the Laos-Mongolia group in the National Assembly Bounkhouang Khambounheuang, who is on a working visit to Mongolia at the invitation of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light industry.

Head of the Mongolia-Laos group in the Parliament Yo.Baatarbileg expressed his interest to develop bilateral cooperation in social, cultural and economic sectors by expanding cooperation between the parliamentary groups.

Moreover, he expressed his appreciation for cooperation in health and tourism sectors and emphasized the realization of rice cultivation in Mongolia and rice import with the support of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In addition, Mr. Yo.Baatarbileg expressed his readiness to implement projects to develop inter-parliamentary relations.

In return Lao Deputy Minister Bounkhouang Khambounheuang stressed that frozen lamb and mutton export from Mongolia to Laos is going to be realized as a result of the visit and that the opportunity to supply rice without chemical fertilizers to Mongolia will be available soon.

The parties agreed to focus on cooperation of parliamentary groups to expand bilateral parliamentary relations.
