Consultative meeting of Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Vietnam held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Le Hoai Trung paid a working visit to Mongolia on July 7-10. The consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Vietnam was held during his visit.

The parties agreed to intensify political dialogue between the countries at all levels, celebrate the 65th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations in 2019 on both sides, strengthen legal basis of relations, promote cooperation between Parliaments and National Security Councils, law enforcement and defence ministries and establish a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Davaasuren thanked the Vietnamese side for having welcomed and shared its experiences to a working group of Mongolia in charge of learning Vietnamese experience on the Free Trade Agreement with Eurasian Economic Union and he proposed to further conduct trainings on experience study among specialists of relevant ministries and organizations.

To facilitate the export of Mongolian meat and meat products, Mongolia and Vietnam will exchange risk assessments in August and September, enhance linkage between the Central Bank and Customs organizations, renew the Memorandum of Understanding between the relevant organizations to expand cooperation in the petroleum sector.

The parties expressed their willingness to intensify cooperation in education, culture, science, health and tourism sectors and expand cooperation between public organizations, provinces and cities.

Deputy Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed his willingness to support Mongolia on cooperation expansion at international and regional levels and to join the Asia Pacific Integration.
