State flag handed over to Mongolian athletes

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 13, official farewell ceremony for Mongolian athletes participating in the Jakarta Palembang 2018, the 18th Asian Games was held at the ‘A’ hall of the Central Sports Palace.

Jakarta Palembang 2018 is to be held from August 18 to September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang and athletes from 45 Asian countries will compete in 465 events across 40 sports.

Mongolian team consists of 397 people including 269 athletes who are to compete in 30 events, 128 coaches and other officials.

Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports G.Ganbayar handed over the national flag to Ts.Sandui, Member of the Executive Council of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee and Chef De Mission for the Jakarta Palembang.

Honorable Athlete and 2017 World Champion P.Orkhon took an oath on behalf of Mongolian athletes who are to compete in the Asian Games. Second Chef De Mission is J.Tumen-Ayush, Vice President of Mongolian Freestyle Wrestling Federation and CEO of Khasu Megawatt, and flag-bearer is International Master of Sports N.Zolboo.
