Inner Mongolian culture and tourism days to be held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The ‘Understanding China’ culture and tourism days of China and Inner Mongolia will take place on September 4-8 in Ulaanbaatar.

The event is organized jointly by the Embassies of the two countries with the support of China’s State Council Information Office, Confederation of Mongolian Journalists and the media.

Head of the Media Department of the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia Han Yung Xiang said that the event is aimed at deepening bilateral humanitarian relations and cooperation, introducing culture of China and strengthening friendship between the two countries.

The culture and tourism days will run for five days, featuring 11 events including exhibition, concert, free examination and diagnosis of Chinese and Mongolian doctors, tournaments and competitions. The officials emphasized that this year the event will feature cultural events along with the tourism.

Within the framework of the ‘Understanding China’ event, China's 10 best modern films will be screened at the theatres and ‘The Legend of White Snake’ play will be performed. Moreover, Universities of Life Sciences of Mongolia and Inner Mongolia will jointly conduct the lecture on ecological civilization and exhibition themed ‘Let’s protect the environment: China’s practice of preventing Inner Mongolia from desertification’. Also a lecture-exhibition on technological innovation will be organized by the Mongolian University of Science and Technology and Inner Mongolia Industrial University.
