Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia ranked 87th out of 176 countries in Corruption Perception Index 2017 reported by the Transparency International. The rating is 15 places down compared to the previous year.
The ‘Transparency through eyes of youth’ project initiated by the ‘Anticorruption and Transparency’ team of the US Development Program-funded ‘LEAD MONGOLIA 2017’ program aims to sound voices of young people on the bureaucracy, corruption, injustice, discrimination, unequal distribution and conflict of interests in today’s society. Under this project the ‘Let shed light' three-minute short video competition among students of high school and universities was held, winners of which were named today.
In the competition that was announced nationwide, 26 videos out of 36 were from university students and 10 from secondary school students. In the category of high school students the ‘Nivers’ team of School number 1 took the first place, whereas student from the National University Of Mongolia, Sh.Amina took the first place in the student category.
