Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The second consular consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Czech Republic was held in Prague on September 17. The meeting was co-chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Davaasuren and by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Legal and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Smolek.

The meeting exchanged views on facilitating travel conditions of citizens, exempting visa requirements for official passport holders, establishing social protection agreement in the near future, and granting work visas.

Czech side stated that starting from November 1 the Visa Center to be opened in Ulaanbaatar city will receive applications of short-term visa, while the long-term visas will be applied to the Embassy of Czech Republic. Thus, the visa issuance process will be facilitated.

Moreover, the sides agreed to sign an agreement this year for cooperating in the field of social protection. By signing the agreement, it will create a possibility to solve social protection issues of Mongolians who have worked or are working in the Czech Republic.

The next consular consultative meeting will take place in 2019 in Ulaanbaatar city.
