Cultural and Tourism Days of Inner Mongolia taking place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 'Understanding China' cultural and tourism days of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China officially launched yesterday, September 5, at the Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery. With an aim to develop friendly ties and cultural and tourism ties between Mongolia and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, the event will be organized until September 8.

The cultural and tourism days features 16 events, including Chinese film days, 'Rainbow of Friendship' and 'Songs of Friendship City' concerts and friendly basketball competition between youths of the two countries.

At the opening ceremony, Ts.Tsogzolmaa, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, said: "The event opens a new chapter in the history of Mongolia and China relations and cooperation. It is intended to organize 'Cultural days of Ulaanbaatar' in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia within the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries, which will occur next year."

Bai Yugan, Member of Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China and Head of Propaganda Department of Inner Mongolia, said: "The 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China will be marked next year. Welcoming the anniversary, we are organizing this event to promote features of Inner Mongolia's livelihood and culture to Mongolian people. We believe that the event will contribute implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Mongolia’s Development Road Program. Furthermore, I also confident that people-to-people friendly ties and cultural and humanitarian exchanges will be widen more."

During the ceremony, exhibitions were opened to display beautiful nature of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, intangible cultural heritage, technological advances and innovation products.
