100,000th flight to pass over Mongolia on October 23

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia reported that on October 23, at about 5:55 pm, flight number CES259 of the China Eastern Airlines will be the 100,000th flight to pass through our country in 2018.
Last year’s 100,000th flight to pass over our country was on November 26. This year, however, it’s being done a month before. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia, this is due to the number of flights that fly through our country being increased by 10,000.
As of the first 10 months of 2018, 109,470 flights have been conducted in Mongolia. Of this number of flights, 90,891 international scheduled flights and 6,460 charter flights passed over our country, while international departing and arriving scheduled flights were 5,889 and chartered flights were 1,033. As for domestic flights, there were 2,654 scheduled flights and 2,534 chartered flights, of which number has also increased by 11.7 percent compared to last year.
