Training on new version Internet Protocol takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the initiative of the Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) are co-hosting the ‘Introduction and security of IP6v in Mongolia’ discussion-workshop on October 22-24 at the IT Park.

At the workshop, consultants of the APNIC and ITU are studying and evaluating the technology readiness level for introduction of the IP6v (Internet Protocol version 6), giving recommendations on the transition process and training the staff.

Over 70 engineers and technicians from 35 relevant organizations including government organizations, internet service providers and mobile network operators are participating in the training workshop.
