Morin Khuur Ensemble awarded with Japanese Foreign Minister's commendation

November 2, the State Morin Khuur Ensemble was awarded with the commendation of
the Japanese Foreign Minister.
The commendation is
awarded to an organization or an individual who made significant contributions
to the development of foreign relations and cooperation. The award is ranked
after the order of the High Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
During the awarding
ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports G.Ganbayar
congratulated the State Morin Khuur Ensemble for receiving the commendation of the
Japanese Foreign Minister, adds that the State Morin Khuur Ensemble is a bridge
between Mongolian and Japanese cultural relations.
He also expressed hopes
that friendly relations between the two countries would continuously develop
for a long time.
The Deputy Minister highlighted that founder of the State Morin Khuur Ensemble and People’s Actor Ts.Batchuluun was conferred the 4th class Gold Rays with Rosette of the Order of the Rising Sun on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan in 2014. He said that conferred after the 15-year, the award acknowledged the contribution of the State Morin Khuur Ensemble in relations between the two countries.
Since its establishment
in 1992, the Ensemble has performed in high-level political visits, and
participated and won awards from various international events such as ‘The
Morin Khuur International Festival’, ‘World Culture Open Festival’, ‘Asian
Music Festival’ and so on.
So far, the Ensemble has
toured about 30 countries and promoted Mongolian invaluable cultural heritages
on the world stages including the UN General Assembly Hall, the Hall of UNESCO
, the Musikverein of Vienna and Carnegie Hall of the U.S.
