Secretary General of the Parliament Secretariat receives Vietnamese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Secretary General of the Parliament Secretariat Ts.Tsolmon received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong today on November 19.


At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary General Ts.Tsolmon expressed his pleasure in meeting Mrs. Doan Thi Huong and noted the constant mutual visits between Mongolia and Vietnam, and strengthening relationship between the legislative bodies of the two countries. He then highlighted that the signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation between the two legislative bodies during the official visit of Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold to Vietnam in January was a crucial step in enhancing the future relations between parliaments and partnership.


The ambassador highlighted that Mongolia was one of the first 10 countries to have diplomatic relations with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and noted that the embassy is planning to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in the coming year. Furthermore, she notified that delegations led by the Deputy Head of the Office of the National Assembly of Vietnam will be paying an official visit to Mongolia by the end of the month.


Secretary General Ts.Tsolmon mentioned the invitation of the Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan to visit Mongolia and highlighted that the Mongolian side hopes to see the Chairwoman during the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He also noted that the official visit that was done at the invitation of the Secretary General of the Office of the National Assembly of Vietnam was successful and confirmed the invitation for the Secretary General to visit Mongolia at his convenience.
