T.Oyun-Erdene grabs bronze at Mas-Wrestling World Championship
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 3rd World Mas-Wrestling Championship took place in Yakutia, the Russian Federation.
Mongolian athlete T.Oyun-Erdene won a bronze medal in women’s 65 kg division of the championship, in which about 200 athletes from 48 countries challenged their power and skills. The first world championship of this sport was held in 2014 and Mongolian athletes grabbed two bronze medals.
Mas-wrestling (tug of the stick) is a national sport of the Yakut
people and it has been developing rapidly in over 50 countries.
Mas-Wrestling International Tournament among juniors is scheduled to be hosted in Mongolia in 2019.
