First meeting of Cooperation Sub-Committee of Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement held
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The first meeting of the
Sub-Committee on Cooperation, designated for monitoring the effective
implementation of the Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement and identifying
ways for further cooperation, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on
December 4.
The meeting was co-chaired by V.Enkhbold, Director-General of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Masaru Igawahara, Senior Regional Coordinator of First China and Mongolia Division at the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
The sides discussed the cooperation projects and programs proposed
by the Mongolian part for increasing benefits of the agreement. They also
exchanged views on convening the sub-committees on Trade in Goods; Rules of
Origin; Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures; Technical Regulations, Standards
and Conformity Assessment Procedures; in 2019. Moreover, a joint protocol will
be released from the meeting.
