Cultural heritage structures to be renovated

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 21, capital city officials worked at locations with the following structures considered as cultural heritage in Ulaanbaatar city:

-The Tara Temple /the base of the ger General D.Sukhbaatar, one of the leaders of 1921 Mongolian Revolution, was born in/ -a two-story building of ‘Mongolor’ association /currently owned by ‘Mong-Em’ LLC/ -a two-story building called ‘Goojingiin Undur’ /the house where T.Namnansuren, the first Prime Minister of the government of Bogd Khan used to live in/

-The Dambadarjaalin Monastery complex Structures of cultural heritage are located in a total of 41 locations in Ulaanbaatar, with the most of them in Bayanzurkh district. As there have been several cases in which historic and cultural monuments, and structures that are considered as cultural heritage were demolished without permission, officials are focusing on certain pressing matters such as the renovation of aforementioned structures, halt of activities not abiding by the Law on the Protection of Cultural Heritage, maintaining the conservation and protection, and developing tourism based on cultural heritage. The corresponding officials were obliged to free the protected areas and restore the structures.
