Mongolia’s accession to Generation Unlimited discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On February 4, a virtual meeting was held to discuss Mongolia joining Generation Unlimited, a global partnership for and with young people. 

 

The meeting brought together officials of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Science, UNICEF and Generation Unlimited including Minister of Labor and Social protection A.Ariunzaya, Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations V.Enkhbold, former Director of Generation Unlimited Roberto Benes, newly-appointed CEO of Generation Unlimited Kevin Frey, and Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Mongolia Alex Heikens. At the meeting, Minister A.Ariunzaya expressed an interest in joining Generation Unlimited as a partner.

 

Generation Unlimited is a global multi-sector partnership to meet the urgent need for expanded education, training and employment opportunities for young people, aged 10 to 24, on an unprecedented scale. Launched at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2018, Generation Unlimited has generated broad interest from government and leaders from industry and other key sectors committed to cohere efforts around young people for large-scale impact.
