Government to back successfully operating IT companies

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 11, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene received representatives of some IT companies such as “And Global”, “Erxes”, “CallPro”, “World Plus” and “Shoppy” that have potential to enter the global market.
Domestic companies have been focusing on how to access to global market and attract
investment in this time of rapid development of information technology. To elevate IT sector to a new level, the delegates asked
the Government to give support on developing foreign and local cooperation,
infrastructure and upgrading legal environment.
The delegates also mentioned the fact that Japan and Singapore provide comprehensive support to their IT companies and cooperate with them in creating favorable tax environment, issuing soft loan and developing infrastructure.
In turn, PM L.Oyun-Erdene said “The Government will support IT companies by taking into consideration of benefits for them as much as possible.” He also remarked to resolve the issue by establishing a special fund.
The PM also mentioned that within the framework of expanding and strengthening Mongolia-India Strategic Partnership, the two sides are paying attention on intensifying cooperation in the areas of IT, human resource, education and culture in recent years and it is fully possible for local IT companies to develop cooperation.
