COVID-19: 130 new cases reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11 a.m., today, the Ministry of Health reports that 130 people were detected with coronavirus after testing 16,800 people nationwide in the last 24 hours.


129 of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city. One citizen, who arrived on a charter flight from Perth, Australia, was tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the number of imported cases to 425. Infection sources of nine people are under investigation.


The total number of COVID-19 cases in Mongolia now stands at 4,340 with 3,131 recoveries.


48 people have been discharged from hospital in the past 24 hours. 1,133 people are undergoing treatment at the NCCD, Military Central Hospital, Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center and general hospitals of Zavkhan and Tuv aimags.


Since the spread of COVID-19 in Mongolia, a total of 3,807 local transmission cases of COVID-19 have been recorded so far, specifically, 3,418 cases in Ulaanbaatar city, 6 in Zavkhan, 4 in Arkhangai, 25 in Orkhon, 217 in Selenge, 45 in Darkhan-Uul, 4 in Gobisumber, 32 in Dornogobi and 16 in Tuv aimag.
