Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. People with disabilities have joined ‘One billion trees’ nationwide campaign initiated by the President of Mongolia.

The General Agency for Development of Persons with Disabilities, ‘Tugeemel’ Development Center, and the Mongolian Epilepsy Society jointly planted more than 100 elm trees in the park of Chingeltei district.

They said, "Although we are disabled, it does not mean we cannot do anything. It is a form of expressing our active participation in the national campaign like others”.

Next year, a garden named after people with disabilities is planned to be established in the ‘Bumbat Rashaa’ park in Songinokhairkhan district, said a representative of the General Agency for Development of Persons with Disabilities.

There are more than 108,000 people with disabilities in Mongolia.
