/MONTSAME/. United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative in
Mongolia Evariste Kouassi-Komlan and Chair of
the Subcommittee on Air Pollution Reduction,
MP B.Saranchimeg worked in a Delgertsogt soum, Dundgobi aimag.
During the visit,
Governor of Delgertsogt soum M.Bayarsukh introduced about the current state in
the local area as well as the impact of climate change and the problems facing
residents of soum.
Saying that drinking water
with higher hardness level being consumed at the soum center has an adverse
effect on health of the residents, governor M.Bayarsukh requested support in reducing
its impact.
At the meeting, Head
of the Water Supply and Sanitation Program N.Batnasan expressed his support to
install additional water treatment equipment at the water supply sources, and
MP B.Saranchimeg affirmed her support for increasing greeneries and establish a
weather station in the soum.
