Arkhangai Aimag Plants 28500 Trees

Ulaanbaatar, June 26, 2023 /MONTSAME/. As part of the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign, Arkhangai aimag has planted 28500 trees across a total area of 19 hectares, including eight hectares in the landfill site in Erdenebulgan soum, six hectares in Ikhtamir soum, and five hectares in Battsengel soum. The aimag plans to plant trees along the roads to the Entry Gate, covering an area of 12 hectares, this autumn.
Additionally, Arkhangai aimag aims to rehabilitate deforested areas spanning 125 hectares and enhance natural regeneration. Tariat soum of the aimag planted trees in a seven-hectare area, and the current growth rate of trees was estimated at 90 percent. Fruit saplings stand for over 36 percent of the total of trees, bushes, and shrubs planted throughout the aimag.
