MON-30 buses to reduce expenses of public transport sector by 30-40 percent

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh attended in the ceremony for handing over MON-30 electric buses to the public transport sector of the capital city. The electric buses which have capacity to travel 200 km on a two to three- hour charge, is now ready for public transport service. They will not only cut the expenses of public transport sector by 30 to 40 percent, but also dramatically reduce air pollution as one electric bus consumes electricity worth only MNT 6.6 million per year.

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh assigned relevant officials to study the possibility of renewing public transport service with MON-30 buses to promote domestic production.  

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh: “All buses in our public transport sector are imported. The buses made by our engineers are creating many new jobs, cutting expenditure by 50 percent. Therefore, we should encourage and support our engineers so that they are motivated to make more inventions leading to industry development”.  

Some parts of the bus including air-filter, shock absorber, seats, even rubber seals and so forth were supplied by domestic producers. Mongolian engineers highlighted the introduction of MON-30 buses is turning a new page in public transportation and industrial sectors. The Mongol mashin LLC set an aim to produce electric taxi and truck.
