Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Ms Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh arrived in Ulaanbaatar on May 7 to pay an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Prime Minister Mr J.Erdenebat. The visit officially began today, on Monday with Ms Dang being greeted by Prime Minister J.Erdenebat at the Central Square at 10.00 am. The two paid respect on the statue of Chinggis Khaan. Ms Dang has signed the Book of Honored Guests of the State House. Afterwards, the Prime Minister of Mongolia and the Vice President of Vietnam held official talks. At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Mr J.Erdenebat said “Mongolia and Vietnam share a 60-year-long friendly relationship. I am confident that your visit will boost the existing levels of cooperation, mutual understanding and traditional relations between the two countries”.
For her part, Ms Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh expressed her delight at witnessing Mongolia’s growth in person. “I have no doubt that Mongolia can move forward, elevating its reputation on the international platform”, she said, expressing gratitude towards the Mongolian people for their warm reception.
The two sides discussed bilateral ties in political, economic and social spheres. The meeting proceeded with the signing of a MoU between the Mongolian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
