Fuel Imports Increased by 40 Percent Last Month

Ulaanbaatar, February 11, 2026 /MONTSAME/. In January of this year, Mongolia imported 116.6 thousand tons of fuel, an increase of 40.5 percent compared to the same period in 2025.
Meanwhile, 147 thousand
tons of diesel fuel were imported, which is a decrease of 13.4 percent compared
to the same period last year, according to the General Customs Administration.
Last January, 6,014 automobiles
were imported, down 62.3 percent compared to the same period in 2025. In
addition, 1,347 trucks were imported, a decrease of 48.8 percent compared to
the previous year.
