MNT 6 billion worth "Suu" bond released
Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Commission (FRC) S.Davaasuren hit the gong of MSE to welcome newly issued “Suu" bond today on June 28. With an interest rate of 17.5 percent and face value of MNT 100,000, the bond has a total value of MNT 6 billion. It is being considered as the highest valued bond ever traded at MSE.

Mongolian saiga individuals are fitted with satellite collars
At the initiative of WWF-Mongolia, Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), Veterinary department of Govi-Altai, Khovd aimag, and Saiga Conservation Network Team have put satellite collars to saiga individuals for a period from 13-21 May, 2017.

65 km new paved road opens for traffic
Construction of 65 km paved road out of total 95 km road in an intersection of the Dulaankhaan-Eruu-Khuder was completed and put into operation on June 23. Minister of Road and Transport Development D.Ganbat, MP N.Oyundari, and Director of the Darkhan Metallurgical Plant D.Batjavkhlan attended the opening ceremony.

Ulaanbaatar Railway Company to reduce loss through Tea Road project
The second Mongolia-Russia-China Tourism Ministers’ meeting was held on June 21 in Ulan-Ude, capital city of the Republic of Buryatia, Russia attracting an audience of nearly 200 tourism delegations and journalists of the three countries. Following the plan outline for building trilateral economic corridor, the tourism authorities have jointly set up the “Tea Road” international tourism alliance. Within the framework of “Tea Road” project, Chinese side set goals to send one million tourists to the tourist zone in Lake Baikal in 2018.

NCMCH wins United Nations public service award for telemedicine project in Mongolia
On June 23, the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) of Mongolia received the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award (UNPSA) garnering  1st place in the category of “Innovation and Excellence in Delivering Health Services” for their work in implementing the Telemedicine Project in Mongolia. The NCMCH is one of 8 first place winners, selected from 552 nominations, and one of the 12 institutions from 11 countries to be recognized at the UNPSA 2017 for public service projects and initiatives aligned with the 2030 Agenda global Sustainable Development Goals.

4.1 million doses of vaccines to be sent from Russia by second half of July
4.1 million doses of vaccines against animal’s foot and mouth disease will be sent from Russia by the second half of this July, following the agreements and talks made during Prime Minister J.Erdenebat’s attendance in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on 1-3 June in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

15.8 thousand tons of meat supplied for public consumption
Development Bank of Mongolia has eased the interest rates of loans totaling MNT 63.4 billion provided to 12 factories. Accordingly, a total of 15.8 thousand tons of raw meat has been supplied into the market for spring consumption. Within the framework of the “First Meat and Milk Campaign”, actions to increase meat processing in the rural areas with wintering difficulties have been organized in cooperation with meat manufacturers.

Construction of 1008 household apartments launched
On June 22, a groundbreaking ceremony of ‘Green Lake’ apartment microdistrict with 1008 household apartments took place in 9th khoroo of Sukhbaatar district. It is a component part of ‘Affordable apartment’ national program by the Government.  The construction of 21-storey 8 apartments and a school with capacity of 960 children on 3.8 ha of freed land started with the ceremony. Further a kindergarten with capacity of 240 children, shopping center and parking places will be built, freeing 1.57 ha of land.

‘Made in Ulaanbaatar’ sub-program to boost processing industry in UB
The Citizens Representative Meeting of the capital city recently approved a sub-program ‘Made in Ulaanbaatar’ to boost processing industry in the capital.  63.9 per cent of all companies in Mongolia operates in Ulaanbaatar. The sub-program aims to support producers through cluster, investment and proper policy, to improve competitiveness of production and services, to create jobs through promoting and increasing sales of products with label ‘Made in Ulaanbaatar’.

Incentive of MNT12.7 billion to be distributed
Incentive for animal skins and hides are being distributed to herders starting June 22. Herders, who sold animal skins and hides to national processing factories, are eligible to get the incentive. 64255 herders sold 278.185 hides and 2.846.747 skins, a total of 3.1 million pieces to national factories and they will get incentive of MNT12.7 billion in total.

Businesswomen’s incubator center opens
On June 23,  Businesswomen’s incubator center" was officially opened under the Businesswomen’s center with a support of the Korean International Cooperation Agency, the Asian Foundation and the Governor’s Office of the capital. The center has trained over 4000 businesswomen for a short period of time since its start of activities.  The businesswomen appreciated the incubator center for access of frequent consultation, information and other support, bringing noticeable results to their businesses.

Presidential election: counting underway, results not yet finalized
Results of the Presidential Election of Mongolia are yet to be finalized as counting is underway nationwide. According to a live report of the General Election Commission, Democratic Party's candidate Kh.Battulga is leading the presidential election with 511,826 votes (39 percent), while Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party's candidate S.Ganbaatar is following with 406,724 votes (31 percent) and Mongolian People's Party's candidate and current Parliament Speaker M. Enkhbold with 404,852 votes (30 percent).
