Salary of civil servants agreed to be raised in the fourth quarter of 2018

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The Government is working to allocate ‘Child Allowance’ to 80 percent of all children this year and also it is seeking a possibility to allocate the allowance to all children without violating the agreement established with the International Monetary Fund.
 
Members of the Government’s working group gave this information at the meeting of Parliament’s Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science on May 15.  
 
They also provided information that the Government reached an agreement with the IMF to increase the salaries of civil servants in line with the inflation rate in the fourth quarter of 2018. Moreover, it plans to raise retirement and other pensions in 2019 and 2020 in line with the inflation rate.
 
During the meeting, the Standing Committee’s members  held first discussion of the draft resolution on approval of the Basic Guideline to develop Mongolia’s socio-economy for 2019.

The Basic Guideline was formulated based on ‘Mongolia’s Sustainable Development Vision-2030’, ‘Government Action Plan for 2016-2020’ and socio-economic sector’s development policy documents, in correspondence with state budgetary investment and other sources.
