Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Speaker of Parliament G.Zandanshatar received Koblandin Kalybek Ibragimovich, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia on February 15.

Congratulating Mr. Zandanshatar on having been elected as the Speaker of Mongolian Parliament, the Ambassador presented a greeting of Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan  and an invitation for 4th meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliament to be held in Astana on September 23-24, 2019.

The Ambassador also noted successfully expanding relations between two countries in recent years and informed that the bilateral trade turnover reached USD67.4 million as of 2018. Adding that cooperation in mining sector would be very promising in bilateral economic relations, Mr. Koblandin recalled that the parties agreed to establish a joint gold refining plant in Mongolia, signing the Memorandum on cooperation during last year’s Mongolia-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission’s meeting. He requested the Speaker to pay attention on the matter.

Moreover, he emphasized that it is important for Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and Russia to jointly develop cultural and humanitarian relations and use a wide opportunity of frontier trades and transit transports within the project ‘Our common home-Altai’.

Central location of Mongolia’s ‘Tsagaan Nuur’ free zone in this region can make an opportunity to increase freight transportation flow through the route ‘Mongolia-Russia-Kazakhstan -China’ and be a major junction of regional transportation. As it is essential to put forward a joint proposal to Russia to improve 300km auto roads in Russian territory within this framework, we hope that Mongolian side will demonstrate on this matter, said the Ambassador.

Furthermore, the Ambassador requested to pay attention on resolving previously agreed issue on opening a direct flight between Kazakhstan and Mongolia and solving troubles arisen in regard with road, entry and exit of a building of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to be newly built in Ulaanbaatar city.

Mr. Zandanshatar responded to be attentive on matters and proposals forwarded by Mr.Koblandin and expressed to depute corresponding organizations for resolving the matters positively.
