Joint projects in agriculture sector discussed with ADB

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Acting State Secretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Jambaltseren received the delegates of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) East Asia Regional Department led by Ying Qian, Director of Public Management, Financial Sector and Regional. Cooperation Division, Qingfeng Zhang, Director of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division and Pavit Ramachandran, Senior Environment Specialist.
In addition to evaluating the implementation of the ‘Community Vegetable Farming for Livelihood Improvement’ and ‘Additional Financing of Agriculture and Rural Development’ projects, the sides exchanged views on possible joint projects in 2019-2021.
The parties also discussed the upcoming projects on ensuring food safety, comprehensive value chain development, animal feed preparation and processing, irrigated farming and climate resistant livestock farming. It was also agreed to launch the project on establishment of Business Incubator Center in September.
