209 citizens arrive home from Frankfurt, Mongolia's first direct flight to Hungary lands

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Another charter plane from Frankfurt to Ulaanbaatar landed today morning at Buyant-Ukhaa international airport in Ulaanbaatar, with 209 passengers on board.


There were 32 families with small kids, 18 elders, 9 people with health concerns, 5 pregnant women and 99 people with other reasonable excuses among them.


Upon their arrival, the returnees have been immediately put into mandatory isolation at isolation facilities, reports the Operative Staff of the State Emergency Commission.



While, “Munkh Khaan Boeing 737-800” aircraft of MIAT Mongolian Airlines landed at Ferenc Listz International Airport in Budapest, Hungary at 11: 20 p.m. of September 23. This is the first passenger flight between the two countries in 70th years of history of establishment of diplomatic relations.


According to the Mongolian Embassy in Hungary, 127 students who would study with the Hungarian Government scholarship traveled on the charter flight en route Ulaanbaatar- Budapest-Frankfurt by the decision of the State Emergency Commission and 17 Mongolian nationals, who requested to return home, boarded on the plane.


Incidentally, Mongolian national flag carrier MIAT Mongolian Airlines, has operated first direct flights successfully to Seattle, USA, Sydney, Australia and Prague, Czech so far, to bring Mongolian nationals back to their home.
