Export-oriented products on display at Ulaanbaatar Partnership 2020

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Ulaanbaatar Partnership-2020” autumn fair, which is being co-organized by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) and the Governor’s Office of the Capital City, was opened on September 24 at Misheel expo center.


In his opening remarks, CEO of the MNCCI T.Duuren highlighted that export has pivotal role to grow Mongolia’s economy. Therefore, the MNCCI is holding the expo with a view to promote export-oriented products to public within its 60th anniversary. The best products will be selected from the products on display at the expo and will be provided with support to export, receiving non-interest loan.


TRAM project team who aim to support Mongolia’s trade and export of new goods to European market is participating in the fair for the first time and four clusters of beauty products, seabuckthorn, yak and camel wool and yak fiber have been set up, said expert of the project Mr. Karl Krug. The clusters are cooperative that unified all participants including raw material suppliers, processors, producers and trader, Government representative, scientific institutes and laboratories. And they are working closely to develop new products, improve quality of products, educate their members, get international certificate and export their products.


Manager of “Khaan Jims” JSC J.Uyanga said, “Our company is making seabucktorn products for the last 4 years. Companies that make products from seabucktorn united and established a cluster. Since it is impossible for one company to manufacture products alone for export to largest markets, we are striving to manufacture and export products under one standard, one package and one brand name. And we are discussing what kind of eco products made from seabucktorn would attract consumers’ interest in European market and working to develop the products.”

 

National producers of food products, wool and cashmere, leather products, beauty products and shoe manufacturers are taking part in the expo, which is being held for the 45th year in connection with the Government’s decision to announce 2020 as Year of Export Promotion.


The expo will run until September 27.
