36 new cases of COVID-19 registered

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 36 new cases of COVID-19 were detected after 6,465 tests performed in the past 24 hours nationwide.


33 of the new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city, while three were registered in Tuv aimag. Specifically, 34 of them were close contacts of the previously confirmed cases and the source of two cases is under investigation, informs E.Temuulen, Deputy Director of the National Center for Communicable Diseases.


As of today, the total cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 3,372. In the past 24 hours, 177 people have been discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,765.


Currently, there are 591 people are undergoing treatment, of which 531 are in mild, 54 in serious, three in critical and three are in very critical health condition.
