Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. April 26, 2021. The Parliamentary Research Institute in collaboration with the National Statistical Office have organized the second e-learning course on “Using website statistical data”. 


April 26, 2021. H.E. Mr. G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, and Ms. Kh.Bulgantuya, a member of the State Great Hural, have participated and delivered speech at the ad Hoc virtual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum on Global Health. 


April 26, 2021. Mr. B.Purevdorj, a member of the State Great Hural and Chair of Mongolia-Italy Parliamentary Group in the State Great Hural had an online meeting with Mr. Alessandro Pagano, a member of the Italian Parliament and Chairperson of Italy-Mongolia Parliamentary Group.


April 27, 2021. The Standing Committee on Legal Affairs held final discussions of the draft laws on Trademarks and Geographical Indications, Copyrights and Patents.


April 27, 2021. The Standing Committee on Education, Culture, Science and Sports heard a report on the activities of the physical culture and sports sector, state-owned property, budget and investment.


April 27, 2021. Representing the State Great Hural Ms.D.Unurbolor MP, has participated in the joint session of the IPU Standing Committees on Sustainable Development and UN Affairs.


April 28, 2021. The Standing Committee on Economics held final discussion on revised law on Cooperatives. Also, Committee members agreed to discuss the amendments to “General Financing Program for Rapid Response” established between Mongolia and the Asian Development Bank.


April 28, 2021. The ad hoc committee responsible for oversight the implementation of the Parliament Resolution No.92/2019 on “Ensuring the Interests of Mongolia in the Development of the Oyu Tolgoi deposit” established a working group responsible for reviewing the detailed environmental assessment of the Oyu Tolgoi project, the environmental management plan, the environmental impact of groundwater use in the Gobi region, as well as the implementation of relevant laws and other decisions, and making recommendations.


April 29, 2021. At the plenary session of the State Great Hural members refused to accept the President’s veto. President Kh.Battulga put a full veto on the parliamentary resolution to accept the Constitutional Court’s conclusion. In line with corresponding legislations, the parliament discussed the veto and rejected the veto imposed by the President with a 74.6 percent majority vote. Members of the parliament present at the veto discussion pointed out that this is the first time a veto is placed on the parliamentary resolution to accept a Constitutional Court conclusion, and the President’s veto cannot be accepted because veto on the given parliamentary resolution is equivalent to turning down the Constitutional Court conclusion. Thereafter, Deputy Prime Minister briefed on “Coronavirus epidemic situation in Mongolia, progress and results of measures taken”.


April 29, 2021. Mr. G.Damdinnyam and Ms. Kh.Bulgantuya, members of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, are participating the 7th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the IPU.


April 29, 2021. At the plenary session of the State Great Hural final hearings were held on revised laws on Cooperatives, Copyrights. Also, draft laws on Trademarks and Geographical Indications, and Patents were transferred to affiliate Standing Committees to prepare for ratification. Moreover, first hearing on amendments to the law on Allowances for single mothers/fathers with many children was held.


April 29, 2021. Mr. N.Uchral, a member of the State Great Hural, Chair of the Innovation and Digital Policy Standing Committee at the State Great Hural who is a member of the Bureau of the IPU Standing Committee on UN Affairs and Ms. Ts.Munkhtsetseg, a member of the State Great Hural have participated in the third day of virtual conference as a preparation for the142nd IPU Assembly.


April 30, 2021. At the plenary session of the State Great Hural heard the Prime Minister’s briefing on the current state of water resources and use, and the measures being taken. 


April 29, 2021. The Government of Japan announced that in its 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals, it will confer Mr. Lundeejantsan.D with the first class of the Order of the Rising Sun, Grand Cordon.
