State secretary receives Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On May 11, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia received Mr. Jalgas Adylbayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia and exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation.


As the Republic of Kazakhstan is working as the Chair of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building in 2020-2022, the Ambassador Jalgas Adylbayev introduced the draft of the updated Catalogue of Confidence Building Measures to the State Secretary N.Ankhbayar, which will be a fundamental tool for promoting the goals and objectives of the CICA. Furthermore, the two sides exchanged views on reforms that are being implemented in the CICA and amendments made to the Catalogue taking into account the current situation of the pandemic.


The CICA is an international conference dedicated to deepening cooperation and building confidence in all aspects of peace, stability and security in Asia, and currently has 27 members and 13 observers.
