Online meeting held between Mongolian and Indonesian Foreign Ministries

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. An online meeting between the
Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Republic of Indonesia was held on January 19.
The
meeting was headed by Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Mongolia N.Ankhbayar and Director General for Asia-Pacific and African Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic
of Indonesia Mr. Abdul Kadir Jailani.
The sides discussed the possibility to carry out some
activities that have been postponed due to the pandemic situation. Specifically,
the regular meeting of the Joint Commission between the governments
of Mongolia and the Republic of Indonesia and Business forum have been discussed to be held in the middle of this year.
As part of its policy to expand relations and cooperation
with countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the Mongolian side
affirmed its commitment
to strengthen political dialogue with Indonesia, an important member of ACEAN,
and expand cooperation in the field of trade, economy, investment, agriculture,
tourism, culture and humanity.
Noting
that the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic
relation between Mongolia and Indonesia was recently marked, Deputy Minister Abdul Kadir Jailani pledged to strengthen the legal framework
of relations and establish the corresponding agreements on legal
assistance to citizens. Indonesian side also expressed to send its delegation to Mongolia, making effort in accelerating cooperation.
