Amartuvshin Becomes the Best Opera Baritone of the World
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar, November 9, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Mongolian baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat won the first place
in the category “Best Opera Baritone” for the second time at the 8th
International Opera Awards. He won this award for the first time in 2020.
This year, three
singers from each voice (tenor, baritone, bass) were selected and nominated for
the finals from the 15 best opera singers in the world, and as a result, the
famous opera singer from Mongolia Enkhbatyn Amartuvshin became the winner in
the category “Best Baritone in the World”.
In 2011,
Amartuvshin took second place at the International Competition named after P.I.
Tchaikovsky (St. Petersburg), and in June 2012 he took first place in the
international vocal competition of the planet - “The Placido Domingo’s
Operalia”.
From 2017 to 2019, Amartuvshin performed opera roles on the
stages of leading theaters around the world.
