Ulaanbaatar, March 26, 2025 /MONTSAME/. With the support of the Government of the Republic of Korea, Mongolia is planning to implement the Youth Employment Promotion Project (YEPP) aimed at promoting youth employment over 30 months.

This Project seeks to analyze the challenges young Mongolians face in entering the labor market and improve human resource policies, productivity, and workplace management. It will be piloted in the wool, cashmere, and hospitality sectors to support Mongolia's economic growth and increase employment.

The Youth Employment Promotion Project will be implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of Mongolia, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia, representatives of employers and employees, the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, the Mongolian Industry Trade Union Federation, vocational and technical education institutions, select factories and enterprises, as well as the Korea Labor and Employment Service (KLES) and the Korea Employment Information Service (KEIS).

The goal is to sustainably improve youth working conditions and productivity over the long term.

Within the framework of the Project, evidence-based policies and solutions will be developed. Training sessions will also be organized to enhance workplace management and support young workers’ initiative and participation.
