Ulaanbaatar, August 11, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of August 11–17, 2025.
In Ulaanbaatar:
August 12: Online registration for 1st-grade enrollment at public schools for the 2025-2026 academic year will begin.
August 12: International Youth Day.
August 13: Cabinet meeting of the Government will take place at the State Palace.
August 14: National Prosecutor’s Office Day.
August 17: National Energy Sector Workers’ Day.
-Citizens’ feedback for the draft budget of Mongolia for the year 2026 is being collected through the “E-Mongolia” digital platform.
-Back-to-school trade fairs are being held at 19 locations across the nine districts of the capital.
-Registration for the professional examination for lawyers continues for 45 days.
-The extended “Golden Autumn-2025” potato and vegetable fair has commenced at four district locations and will expand to 21 locations in all nine districts.
-Registration for preschool education in Ulaanbaatar is open via the “E-Mongolia” system until August 18.
-The special exhibition “Mongol Avdar” is open to the public at the National Museum of Mongolia until the end of August.
Local Events:
August 12–13: The “Khongoryn Shigshmel Khurd” horse racing festival, known as the Celebrities’ Awards Festival, will take place in Duursakh Valley, Bayankhongor aimag.
August 13: In Bayangol soum, Selenge aimag, a title-bestowing ceremony will be held for Honored Horse Trainer of Mongolia T. Turmunkh.
August 15: In Bayan-Uul soum, Dornod aimag, a title-bestowing ceremony will be held for wrestler M. Belgutei of the Border Troops, “Khilchin” Sports Committee, and “Dornyn Khuchten” Club, who reached six victories in the National Wrestling Tournament of the Naadam Festival and earned the title of Khartsaga.
August 15: In Airag soum, Dornogobi aimag, a title-bestowing ceremony will be held for wrestler M. Byambadorj of the “Khutagtyn Khuchten” Club, “Aldar” Sports Committee, “Dornyn Urtuu” LLC, “Ashid Bilguun” LLC, and the 336th Military Unit of the Armed Forces of, who earned the title of Nachin.
Events Abroad:
August 7–17: The Mongolian National Team is competing in jiu-jitsu, para jiu-jitsu, powerlifting, billiards, duathlon, and sambo wrestling at the “World Combat Games” in Chengdu, the People’s Republic of China.
