Mongolian Landscape Photography 2025 Winners

Ulaanbaatar, November 18, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian Landscape Photographers Association has officially announced the winners of the international competition, Mongolian Landscape Photography of the Year Award 2025, held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia. Following a final round of deliberations, the judging panel selected the most exceptional entries from a highly competitive field of submissions.
This year’s competition attracted 726 submissions from 102 photographers representing 13 countries, showcasing a vibrant array of visual storytelling across four thematic categories: Landscape, Wildlife, Lifestyle, and Aerial Photography.
Category Winners
In the Landscape category:

- “Waterfall with Milky Way” by Eric von Schulthess
from the Swiss Confederation
In the Wildlife category:
- “Sound in the Forest” by Batsukh Gantumur
- “Wings of Destiny” by Munkhbayar Erdenee
- “Gobi Wild Horses” by Baatarsuren Basan
In the Lifestyle category:
- “Love in Poetry” by Buyanzaya Enkhbold
- “Eagle Hunters” by Erdenebulgan Battsengel
- “Morning” by Ganzorig Miimaa
In the Aerial Photography category:
- “Herd of Camels Glistening in the Sun” by Batsukh
Gantumur won first place
- “Patterns of Nature” by Erdenebulgan Battsengel
- “Wooden Building in the Forest” by Amartuvshin
Jargalsaikhan
The competition’s top distinction, the “Landscape Photography of the Year” award, was presented to Munkhchuluun Erdenedoo for his “Children of the Taiga” photograph, unanimously selected by the judging panel as the most outstanding entry across all categories.
An exhibition featuring the winning
and shortlisted photographs will open to the public on November 20, 2025, at
the Norphei Art Gallery, located in Blue Mon Tower, Ulaanbaatar. The showcase
aims to celebrate the creative excellence of landscape photography while
spotlighting Mongolia’s diverse natural beauty and cultural heritage through the eyes of both domestic and international artists.
