Ulaanbaatar, January 5, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The 5th Unified State Championships of Sports Federations will begin on January 18, 2026. This year’s edition features competition across 10 disciplines: archery, dance sport, virtual cycling, jiu-jitsu, sport climbing, kendo, rowing, taekwondo, powerlifting, and wheelchair fencing. Approximately 700 athletes have registered for the event.

First held in 2022 under the motto “Mongolian Sports–One Stage–Dream,” the championships have since driven a significant increase in sports participation and interest among children and youth.

Organized in the format of the Asian Games, the championships will take place across several venues, including the Steppe Arena, Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace, the Wrestling Palace, and the Uran Gan Sports Complex.

The event is scheduled to commence on January 18 with the ice climbing competition and will conclude on January 25 with archery and virtual cycling.
