Art & Culture
Ulaanbaatar, January 6, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The “Winter Exhibition–2026,” featuring 108 works including Buddhist devotional art, contemporary paintings, wooden crafts, and zumber decorative art, has opened at the Theatre Museum of Mongolia.
The
exhibition aims to raise awareness of contemporary handicrafts and cultural
heritage by showcasing works crafted by the retreat’s teachers and participants. This
marks the first time that the exhibition has been jointly presented to the
public by the “Tushdiin Rashaan” Buddhist meditation and craft retreat and the
Theatre Museum of Mongolia.
Tsogt-Ochir Jargalsaikhan,
Executive Director of the “Tushdiin Rashaan” Buddhist Retreat Center, noted
that since 2024, the retreat, located in Khoton soum of Arkhangai aimag, has
organized several summer-season “ger gallery” exhibitions for visitors.
Beginning this year, the organization plans to hold exhibitions throughout all
four seasons to promote cultural heritage. The exhibition will be open to the
public until January 23, 2026.
