Meeting Held with Belgian Prime Minister

Ulaanbaatar, January 22, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister Zandanshatar Gombojav is attending the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
On the sidelines of the forum, Prime Minister Zandanshatar
met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, Bart De Wever.
During the meeting, the parties noted a significant
opportunity to elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level in connection with
the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between
Mongolia and Belgium, which will be marked this year.
Prime Minister Zandanshatar briefed his counterpart on the 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification
(UNCCD COP 17), to be held in Ulaanbaatar in August this year, as well as the
Mongolia Economic Forum scheduled for June, and invited him to visit Mongolia.
Expressing his appreciation for the invitation, Prime
Minister De Wever said that Belgium would carefully consider the level and composition
of its representation at the two upcoming international events. He also noted
that the Kingdom of Belgium is keen to expand cooperation with Central Asia and
Mongolia.
