Ulaanbaatar, January 23, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The ceremonial and casual outfits to be worn by the Mongolian national team at the "Milan-Cortina 2026" Winter Olympic Games have been officially unveiled.

The athletes' attire was crafted by the designers and seamstresses of "Goyol Cashmere" LLC. Through their social media page, the company stated that rather than merely combining traditional deel attire with modern fashion, they aimed to reintroduce the culture of ancient Mongolian clothing, an inseparable part of the nation's great history and heritage, to the present day and present it to the world.

Based on the deel styles of the Great Mongol Empire era (13th–15th centuries), Mongolia's most powerful historical period, this design retains traditional solutions such as side slits in the skirt for unhindered movement, rounded standing collars to protect against wind and cold, and a full overlapping chest panel. Soft, luxurious Mongolian cashmere is trimmed with elegant silk and embroidered with traditional "horn" patterns (ever ugalz), embodying a ceremonial and respectful style.

Using Mongolian cashmere, which has served as a pillar for nomadic people in overcoming harsh winters, the company has crafted items of the highest quality: ceremonial deels that preserve traditional history and culture, and casual cashmere knit sets inspired by the ski sweaters popular in Western culture but enriched with imagery of the Mongolian ger and nomadic life.

Thus, at the Winter Olympic Games, a symbol of human unity, our national team athletes will march in ceremonial attire that combines national heritage with modern design.

Founded in 2005, "Goyol Cashmere" LLC is one of the country's leading manufacturers, employing over 200 people. The company produces over 300,000 knit, woven, and sewn products annually using 100 percent cashmere, silk-cashmere, yak down, and other materials, exporting to more than 10 countries.
